It's arguably the first proper job she's ever landed, and droves of fans and critics alike tuned in to see how Kim Kardashian coped with co-presenting Live with Kelly this morning.
But what was the verdict on the 31-year-old's first stab at animating subject matter that isn't directly related to her own life?
Well, first impressions were strong, a plethora of superlatives were rolled out across the blogosphere to describe the reality star's appearance in a bright red dress.
Zapit described the early morning vision thus: 'Kardashian was poured into a form-fitting red dress, her hair extensions spilled over her shoulders in dreamy cascades and her makeup was impeccable.'
But that's as far as the plaudits went, they continued: 'Paired with Kelly Ripa - a woman who is so quick she was always one step ahead of former co-host Regis Philbin - Kardashian came off as kind of ditzy, unprepared and - well - pretty vacant.
'She may be the star of E!'s highest rated franchise, but let that be a lesson to us in the non-spontaneous prompting and editing that goes into crafting an entertaining version of 'reality.' When left to her own devices - or device - Kardashian was sweet and lovely, but hardly compelling.'
They added that: 'Kelly also had to intervene to prevent Kardashian from mangling the last name of actress Carla Gugino. Let that be a lesson to us: Prepping for a talk show appearance isn't all about the hair.'
However, USA Today thought that Kim coped wonderfully well.
They wrote: '(She) had to fend off a lizard, chat with Lucy Lawless and Kevin McHale, and field questions from Kelly Ripa about her divorce and about Heidi Klum's breakup news, as she sat in the co-host hot seat this morning on Live With Kelly. She pulled it off with complete ease.'
The lesser authority of Bleacherreport.com, disagreed, and issued this backhanded compliment: 'After seeing her on Kelly Live, however, it is now clear that the once-intimidating beauty is simultaneously a hopeless romantic and a steaming airhead.'
The NY Post, meanwhile, offered no direct verdict, but used quotes that presented Kim in a favourable light, indeed that made her seem like she has a wry sense of humour.
They recounted: 'Ripa and singer Nick Lachey had dressed as Kardashian and Humphries at their wedding - Lachey walking on stilts. Soon after, news leaked out that Kardashian had filed for divorce.
'"Imagine our shock when literally an hour later this announcement was made," explained Ripa.
Kardashian responded, "That was probably the one thing that made me smile that day."'
Hollywood Life found the beleagured star feisty: ''Kim Kardashian is coming out swinging to defend her 72-day-marriage. The reality star spoke in-depth for the first time about why her marriage to Kris Humphries ended in divorce. When Kelly Ripa tells her that most people believe Kim married Kris for the cameras, Kim gets very upset.'
Styleit.com added honesty to the canon of positive words used to describe the appearance: 'She of glowing skin and gallons of eyeliner, has psoriasis! This is a thing we knew, but now she’s discussing her (very common, though truly frustrating) skin condition on morning television.
'Kim played cohost to Kelly Ripa on today’s Live With Kelly, and the two chatted about skin woes and body makeup. Also, laser hair removal. Hey, at least Kim keeps it (sort of) honest, right?'
